Artisanal reproduction of the divinatory Tarot deck initially published by the best-known card maker in Marseille in 1809: Nicolas Conver

This truer-than-life reproduction, thanks to the restoration of the original colors and Fine Art digital printing, has the advantage of providing a handcrafted deck that can be used every day, in a resistant and durable paper while retaining the sensations of an antique deck thanks to the soft and sensitive texture of Japanese Washi Paper.

This extremely resistant paper is also glued to a central layer blocking the light: the intermediate cardboard, traditionally called "the soul of the game" gives the 3 layered cards: strength and nervousness (a cardboard without 3 layers would have soft and fragile characteristics)

The faces and backs of the cards are smoothed with soap using an agate stone.

hand crafting this deck involves a minimum of 8 hours of manual work within deep concentration, and sometimes music. We strive not to have any particular intention during manufacturing so as not to overload the "energy" of the deck, which remains the responsibility of the user.

The Nicolas Conver tarot published in 1809 is a type 2 Tarot.

This means that it contains revised graphic details compared to older Type 1 tarot cards.
card's titles french spelling has been improved
The sun's rays are alternately straight and wavy. The faces in the moon are shown in profile
The lover's angel is no longer blindfolded.
The flame in Maison Dieu is oriented from heaven to earth.
Finally, the faces have softer and more refined expressions while the geometric composition of the cards is more consistent with the rules of harmony and symmetry.

Unlike the modern Marseille Tarot, the historical tarot cards have retained original details specific to each workshop, making the interpretation richer and more varied. They also retained an additional color like light blue.

This divinatory tarot game is aimed at sensitive people, creators, artists, tarot readers, clairvoyants and playing card historians, film or television series production or even museums, daily use or to complete their collection with an authentic game delivered at the right price for artistic craftsmanship without having to spend the amount of a period work.

Our handcrafted games are guaranteed for 10 years in their normal condition of use, and we are able to replace lost or damaged cards.

The game is supplied protected by a traditional envelope, and a velvet pouch, presented in a linen collector's box accompanied by a maintenance kit (linen pad and organic soap)

The edges of the cards can be custom gilded with gold leaf, then protected with a luthier's varnish. To do this, please select the golden slices option and accept an additional delay of 3 weeks maximum for shipping your order.
