The maintenance kit allows you to continue using and shuffling your handmade playing or tarot cards with the same pleasure as on the first day. This is an interview that can be repeated once a year if you feel the need.

Composition

- A small natural and organic “Baby Emma” soap suitable for caring for cards (for babies and pregnant women, without dyes, without perfume and without essential oils).
- A wick of cotton.
- A burlap bag.

Precautions for use

The handcrafted games sold by Kartograme are all stone smoothed and there is no need to reapply soap quickly. For example, a professional tarot reader has used handmade decks very regularly for more than 2 years and has not needed to maintain her cards until then. This maintenance kit is suitable for Kartograme handcrafted cards. We do not guarantee that this kit will be suitable for other craft games. In order not to damage the card, it is recommended not to press the soap too hard on the surface of the card: very light pressure is enough.

Manual

On a flat surface, place a craft card on a white sheet.

**Your handcrafted card does not have illumination:**
- Apply the soap to the surface of the card without pressing too hard (too hard = the color of the nails changes under the effect of pressure).
- Place the cotton wick in the jute bag and slide the bag over the surface of the card to remove excess soap.
- Take out the cotton wick then slide it over the surface of the card to finish smoothing.
- Repeat the operation on the back of the card.

**Your handmade card has illumination, which makes it more fragile for this maintenance operation:**
- Apply the soap to the surface of the card without pressing.
- Slide the cotton wick across the surface of the card to smooth it without pressing.
- Repeat the operation on the back of the card (even if the back of the card is not illuminated, repeat exactly the same process to preserve the illumination).
